Our Story

A New Beginning Rooted in Faith...

A season of prayer, discernment, heartfelt conversation, and reliance on the Holy Spirit brought forth the establishment of  a new church community at 222 W. Nebraska Street in Pierce, NE.  Cornerstone Christian Church arose as the first non-denominational church in Pierce and was blessed with the ability to purchase an existing church structure from which to grow. The  building serves as a reminder of the biblical truths that serve as the foundation of Christian faith and our desire to remain steadfast to them.

A New Foundation...
Two key passages shape the identity and mission of Cornerstone Christian Church.

"Because of God's grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder...For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have...Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 3:10-11

"The stone you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone...There is salvation in no one else." Acts 4:11-12

Who we are...

Cornerstone Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian community rooted in the Word of God and committed to building a strong foundation of faith for generations to come. Our congregation spans across generations, collectively worshipping, learning, and serving as one body in Christ.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..."
  - Matthew 28:19

We believe in baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and baptize persons of any age. In baptism, we pray that the Holy Spirit works within each person so that, having been born of water and the Spirit, they may grow to live as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?
     - 1 Corinthians 10:16

We celebrate Holy Communion with joy, remembering the night Jesus willingly gave Himself up for us; enduring the cross as the perfect and sinless sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins and for our salvation. Using simple elements of bread and juice, we commune with Christ and one another as His body, the Church. We invite all believers in Jesus Christ to His table, which belongs to all people everywhere who truly repent of their sins, come humbly to the Lord, and who seek to walk with Him.

Where we are headed...

We are a young church working to establish a firm footing on the solid rock of Christ. We seek to grow our congregation as disciples and servants continuing the work we have been called to complete by our Savior.
